The label and narrow web industry will be gathering at Labelexpo Americas 2024, which will be held Sept. 10-12 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL. As always, ink industry leaders are preparing for the three-day show, which gives them the opportunity to showcase their newest products while also meeting with attendees.

In alphabetical order, here are some of the highlights that attendees can expect to see:

• ACTEGA (Booth 711) – ACTEGA will be debuting its new ACTKote UV wash-off primer, which is designed to increase the recyclability of shrink sleeves, at Labelexpo Americas. ACTKote UV Wash Off Primer has been recognized by the Association of Plastic Recyclers (APR) for meeting the highest criteria for recyclability according to the APR Design Guide for Plastics Recyclability.

ACTEGA will also highlight its SafeShield low migration inks and coatings range, overprint varnishes for energy efficient LED-UV printing, and Signite and ECOLEAF.

“With improving sustainability a priority for the industry, the products and technologies ACTEGA will be showcasing this Labelexpo Americas will be a highlight for anyone attending the show,” said Mell Bishop, VP of Flexible Packaging North America and global market manager labels, ACTEGA.


• Flint Group (Booth 6419) – Flint Group and Xeikon, its Digital Solutions division,  will show its newest innovations to enhance efficiency and sustainability in labels and package printing. These include Flint Group’s dual-curing EkoCure ink series, including EkoCure ANCORA, a range of inks approved for food-contact materials, and the new Ultra Clear dual-curing UV coatings.

Xeikon will highlight fleXflow, its stand-up pouch production process; the PX3300HD, the Panther, for high-quality, durable labels at 1200 dpi; the LX3000, the Lion; and Xeikon’s TX500 press, which uses TITON toner for food-safe, durable flexible packaging on paper substrates.

• Fujifilm (Booth 3623) – Fujifilm Integrated Inkjet Solutions is exhibiting several products at its Labelexpo Americas booth. The 46kUV Printbar System is Fujifilm’s UV printbar system for label imprinting and adding variable data, including high-quality text and codes, at speeds up to 500 fpm (152 m/m) at 1200 x 600 dpi. The 46kUV is available in 13″, 17″, and 20″ print widths.


• INX International (Booth 129) – INX International Ink Co. will have several ink and coating solutions to show attendees at this year show, including Genesis washable inks for shrink label packaging; INXFlex Contour high performance, UV and LED dual cure ink system for shrink sleeves; VerifyInk security ink technology; and XJL UV Curable pigmented digital inks.

“We are excited every time Labelexpo returns to the Chicago area,” said Renee Schouten, INX VP of marketing. “Many new developments have taken place, and interest in sustainable products has grown strongly since the show was held here two years ago. There is also a developing trend towards shorter runs and product differentiation, and our solutions address all of these needs.”


• Nazdar Ink Technologies (Booth 1245) – Nazdar Ink Technologies will highlight its range of inks for narrow web printing at Labelexpo Americas 2024, as well as new products, including it s W181 Series water-based inks with bio and renewable resources, and the 68500 LED dual cure flexo series.

• Siegwerk (Booth 845) – Siegwerk will be highlighting its latest developments at Labelexpo Americas, including SICURA Nutriflex ORBIS DC low migration inks and coatings ideal for UV/LED flexo printing in the food, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and tobacco sectors. In addition,Siegwerk with be showcasing a range of coatings, including SICURA APEX for basic stick-and-shine overprint applications and SICURA DGT coatings, primers and adhesives for use with digital printing technologies.

“Siegwerk will also have demonstrations at booth 845 to showcase our state-of-the-art technologies, FastMatch Cloud—a revolutionary cloud-based color management system, and APR-Recognized technologies designed for sustainable recycling,” added Brianna Martin, regional marketing manager, Narrow Web & Flexible Packaging, Siegwerk.

• Sun Chemical (Booth 831) – Sun Chemical will highlight its sustainable solutions for the flexible packaging and narrow web, tag, and label printing markets during Labelexpo Americas 2024 under the theme “Labels Transform.”

“Sun Chemical will display its full portfolio of sustainable solutions for the flexible packaging and narrow web, tag, and label printing markets at this year’s Labelexpo Americas,” said Dennis Sweet, VP – NWTL, Sun Chemical. “Among the inks, adhesives and coatings on display, Sun Chemical will highlight its SolarFlex CRCL innovative UV flexo inks for shrink and non-shrink applications which enable ink removal without a primer, as well as its SolarWave UV-LED curable inks and SunCure mono-web UV flexo coatings. • Wikoff Color (Booth 3210) – For Wikoff Color, a highlight of this year’s Labelexpo Americas is its collaboration with Esko.

“Wikoff Color is very excited to be partnering with Esko this year to display the CDI Spark 2530 in our booth,” Megan Pritcher, marketing/purchasing assistant, Wikoff Color, said. “The equipment will be on display and demos will be taking place. Wikoff is also excited to offer special pricing for the CDI Spark 2530 while at the show.

• Zeller+Gmelin (Booth 1015) – Zeller+Gmelin will highlight its NUVAFLEX energy-curable ink series and new EarthPrint UV recycle primer under the theme of “Coloring Today’s World for Tomorrow.”

The NUVAFLEX 17 Series inks are formulated for excellent shelf stability, runnability, and fast and complete curing under environmentally friendly UV or LED systems. The new EarthPrint product line is designed to overcome raw materials shortages and product recyclability.
